  • ERWC-certified instructor. Expository Reading and Writing Curriculum (ERWC) is a college prep course developed with Cal State University focused on rhetoric, critical reading, and writing.
  • Co-created “Literature, Culture & Society,” a senior-level course incorporating ERWC methods.

The Omeka site I created for my Caribbean poetry unit incorporated the genius.com web annotator, allowing students to have second-screen, asynchronous, or silent discussions.

  • Managed daily operation of Youth Interactive, a non-profit after-school center serving youth ages 14-24. Programs focused on arts, entrepreneurship, and technology, with students running micro businesses. Over 80% of youth came from low-income households, and over 50% on probation or had criminal records.
